THE PROJECT
Dos Kilos
In the northern reaches of the La Ciénega concessions lies Dos Kilos, Veruna’s newest discovery and its richest in silver. The project takes its name from an extraordinary assay — a single rock sample containing two kilograms of silver per tonne, one of the highest grades ever recorded in Sonora. Subsequent sampling confirmed continuity across the zone, revealing average grades of more than 300 grams (roughly 10 ounces) per tonne.
MULTI-ZONE SILVER SYSTEM
Dos Kilos:
High-Grade Silver Discovery
Silver at Dos Kilos occurs in quartz stockworks—networks of mineralized veins cutting through altered Precambrian dolomite, exposed in outcrop over a 10-meter thickness and traceable for more than 500 meters along strike. Positioned within the Caborca Gold Belt, the same prolific region that hosts Veruna’s flagship La Ciénega, the discovery expands the company’s footprint into a silver-dominant system with copper and cobalt by-products.
Centuries ago, Spanish miners worked this same ground, leaving tunnels and portals that still trace through the hillsides—early evidence of the rich mineralization beneath. Geologists now believe this structure may connect with several historical mines nearby—San Antonio, Hill Top, and Blue Mines—suggesting a broader mineralized network taking shape across the belt.
Today, Veruna returns with modern tools—combining mapping, geophysics, and precision drilling—to define what could become a multi-zone silver district with polymetallic upside. With high grades, near-surface access, and proximity to La Ciénega, Dos Kilos is poised to become the next chapter in Sonora’s long tradition of silver discovery.
